About Page 

Welcome to The Home of Hats! Born out of a love of headwear and haircare, Kikadet was created by our founder Ire during the pandemic. While the pandemic held many meaning for different people, for us it meant the start of something new and different as Ire’s love and creativity flourished even better every step of the way. 

She became even more vested in her hair and learnt more about caring for and pampering it. Kikadet is the by-product of that experience, it’s a symbol of the love and utmost care that everyone deserves when they think about their hair and what they should adorn it with. Every Kikadet piece inspires confidence and the will to embrace your true self effortlessly. We recognize the beauty that is individuality and we seek to enhance it one hat at a time. 

We believe that hats should be held in high regard in the world of fashion for their simplicity and ability to make any outfit shine. How do I care for my hats? 

Teddy Beanies

A gentle hand wash is suitable for Teddy Beanies but where necessary, only a gentle machine wash should be used- set to the hand-wash option. For extra care and caution when using the machine, stuff your Teddy Beanie in a silk bag, laundry bag, or pillowcase, and tie the ends to protect it from the rumble. 

The Caroline Seagrass Visor 

Spot your Caroline Seagrass visor with a damp cloth dipped in warm water and mild soap. Do not machine wash for any reason as this might alter the shape of the hat. 

How do I store my Kikadet hat?

We recommend storing your Kikadet hats on a flat surface to preserve their shape and prolong their life. The beanies can survive amongst your regular clothing in the closet, and the sea grass visors can stay in a hat box or any flat surface. 

 

Do You have a shop I can Visit 

Kikadet is strictly an online store for now. If we open up a physical store in the nearest future, you’ll be the first to know! 

 

Can I Change or Cancel my Order? 

Orders already placed on Kikadet cannot be canceled or changed. 

 

What Method of Payment Do you Accept?

We accept American Express, Apple Pay, Master Card, PayPal, Visa, Google Pay and Discovery

We do not accept part payments or any gift cards for now. If we change our minds and decide to create special KIkadet gift cards, you’ll be the first to know! 

 

Are the Hats one Size Fit all?

Can I be notified when an item is back in stock?

Sign up for our interesting newsletters to know when an item is back in stock. We promise not to spam you! 

How long does it take for an item to be back in Stock? 

It takes roughly (how many days/weeks) for a Kikadet hat to be created. So once an item is out of stock, you can expect it back in less than ——- weeks. 

 

 

Delivery Policy 

UK Deliveries

• Standard Delivery 

Our standard deliveries within the UK are FREE! All orders are dispatched within 2 working days from Mondays to Fridays, excluding public holidays. That means you can expect to receive your order within 2 to 5 working days from the day you placed the order. 

Give us room for slight delays especially when there’s a high volume of orders on our system. If your order has not been dispatched within 3 working days, please reach out to us directly. 

You will receive a confirmation email and a tracking link once your order has been dispatched so you can track its location. The tracking updates will be available within 24 hours after shipping. 

• Express Uk Delivery 

Can’t wait to rock your hat? Our express delivery option costs 5.25 pounds per pack and is dispatched on a high priority basis. Once you place your order, you can expect to receive it the next working day. Bear in mind that we do our best to achieve this but it is not a guaranteed service. 

We will go out of our way to ensure that the times are met but we will not be liable for any dispatched parcel delays caused by third parties. For example, bad weather. 

If your order doesn’t reach you within 5 working days from the date it was dispatched, please reach out to us directly via email at ———– or phone call ———. We are available from Mondays to Fridays 9 am to 5 pm. 

All lost or damaged orders will be replaced free of charge

We will not be held responsible for items that are lost, stolen, misdelivered or sent to the wrong delivery address that you entered during checkout. 

All our logistics are handled by Amazon UK and they use Royal mail at all times but due to unusual circumstances occasionally other services like Hermes or DPD may be used. This is beyond our control.

For orders of more than one pack, packs may be shipped separately. 

 

 

International Deliveries 

Delivery outside the UK has been temporarily removed due to the current situation with Brexit. 

• Standard International Delivery

All orders are dispatched within 2 working days from Mondays to Fridays, excluding public holidays. That means you can expect to receive your order within 5 to 8 working days from the day you placed the order. 

Give us room for slight delays especially when there’s a high volume of orders on our system. If your order has not been dispatched within 3 working days, please reach out to us directly.
